Remembering Jesús de Miguel
CD Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel Alameda died at the age of 30 on the morning of 3 November 2026. The club confirmed that he passed away at 8:00 a.m. local time in Tenerife, Spain.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, teammates and everyone at CD Tenerife. We join the football community in remembering Jesús and respect his family’s request for privacy.
What happened
On 2 November, CD Tenerife hosted FC Andorra in round 12 of Spain’s second division. In second-half stoppage time, De Miguel and Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono collided while challenging for the ball. De Miguel suffered cardiac arrest and received emergency care before being taken to Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria.
LaLiga’s match record shows that Owono was sent off and that the match was abandoned with the score at 2–2.
